Custom Extrusion

Some extrusions are new designs to meet a particular purpose, which cannot be met by standard or stock designs. This section is Your Guide to our process - "From the idea to the extrusion".

1. Design
   TP Extrusions may be able to assist you at this stage, as we have many years of experience of extrusion design and material properties. Please see below for an introduction to extrusion design, for simple advice and tips.
2. Model
   For some profiles it is possible to build a model or prototype, suitable for visualising or showing to your customer. We can advise and assist in this process.
3. Tooling
   From fully dimensioned drawings, the dies and tools required for your extrusion can be made. The lead time necessary will vary according to complexity, but will be discussed and agreed.
4. Trials
   The tooling undergoes trials, producing samples for submission to you.
5. Approval
   Following any necessary modifications, you approve the samples and bulk production can be scheduled.
6. Production
   This will generally be within 2 weeks of sample approval.
