TPe Newsletter - 2010 / 1
After the prolonged and icy winter we hope that you are back to business and enjoying a good start to the year.
TP Extrusions have a new stock product to tempt you with, and many Ticket Strip profiles now detailed on our website. Here is more information:
1] New for 2010 is our stock metallic effect Silver Plastic Angle, available in packs of 10 x 3m lengths in 19mm, 25mm and 50mm sizes. These have an attractive finish with a satin sheen and are coloured to resemble aluminium. We can produce all of our normal rigid pvc profiles in this material for production runs. Contact us for a sample, or for pricing details follow this link:

2] The TP Extrusions website has had a large number of Ticket Strips/Label Holders added to it, grouped by type, listed by size, with many drawings to illustrate them. All are production items (we don't hold stock of these profiles) which hold tickets between 8mm and 146mm in either an open "C" type Strip or a covered EPOS Strip. to see these new pages follow this link:

3] Last year we introduced some hints about how to design a Plastic Extrusion into our Newsletters. Continuing this series is part 4 - Length Tolerances
We recommend that, where you can, some tolerance is designed in to the required length of your extrusion. It can be difficult and expensive to cut a perfect length during production as thermoplastics expand and contract at different temperatures. Greater accuracy is possible if lengths are cut off-line, but this adds cost and cuts may not be as "clean" as an in-line cut.A typical length tolerance for UPVC would be +/- 1mm on a 500mm length. Longer bar lengths are generally cut with a positive tolerance only, e.g. +25mm/-0mm.

We hope that this Newsletter is of interest and that we can be of service to you again soon.
With regards and best wishes
